Mette Helbæk Chef and stylist at Stedsans in the Woods
Mette Helbæk is a Danish chef, food stylist, writer and award-winning entrepreneur. She is the author of several cookbooks, and a contributor to leading Scandinavian magazines and newspapers. Her focus is always on local ingredients, mainly plants and sustainability and health are never far from her mind.
Mette Helbæk is founder of the Din Baghave greengrocer chain that made enabled local produce used at Copenhagen’s top restaurants to become a staple food for locals and visitors alike from the city. In 2015 she and her husband opened the very popular restaurant Stedsans and two years later, in 2017 the restaurant moved into a Swedish forest and now goes by the name Stedsans in the Woods. The restaurant is a hidden charm, with fire as the only heat source and has its own permaculture gardens, animals and lake for fishing.
